Another new title launch with DK

I am delighted to be part of the ever popular DK series, (Dorling Kindersley Children’s Books), 1000 Words, with my new 1000 More Words with its emphasis on building more vocabulary and literacy skills. It focuses on the language we need for learning. That might be learning at school in relation to a curriculum encompassing subjects such as English, maths, science, geography, history, art, computing and more. Or it might be learning when out and about and fuelled by curiosity in the course of everyday life. 

The new book is particularly relevant for beginner readers and English language learners; providing a first reference title that will develop a child’s reading and writing skills and boost their confidence in communication. Parents and carers are encouraged to talk about the words and pictures representing different areas of learning in the book, to ensure that the young reader consolidates what they know and to extend their knowledge and understanding.
