Training event with the Ministry of Education Barbados and MacMillan Education Caribbean

I am fresh back from a training event with Macmillan Education Caribbean ( https://macmillan-caribbean.com/ ) and The Ministry of Education Barbados where I was honoured to represent Macmillan Education’s systematic synthetic phonic programme, Snappy Sounds, and to work with esteemed colleagues from The Barbados Ministry of Education during this programme of three training days.

It's always a privilege to work with primary teaching colleagues, and especially those in Barbados who impress with their knowledge of phonics and early reading skills along with enthusiasm and determination. I loved speaking with parents, too. This was a successful step on the road to setting firm foundations and improving literacy for the nation's children.

I look forward to the next steps in this crucial journey and very much hope to have the opportunity to work again with everyone involved.
